Maine Pictures

Back by popular demand...I've had some requests to repost the Maine pictures because they all came out as thumbnails...so here are the pictures from my trip up to Maine to visit Tina back in June. It was beautiful as you can see...but I would not want to be here in the winter! A shot of the house as I am first pulling up to the dock (taken from the skiff).
This is the family room...my favorite room in the house. I LOVE all the windows.
This is the back patio with the garden shed closest and the studio to the back left.

This is the studio behind the main house

A view from the garden area back toward the house.
I thought this was a cool old wheelbarrow.
Tina's vegetable garden.

I really liked this flower bed. It's poppies...I bet it's beautiful in bloom!

A view of the house from the top of the dock on the island.
This is the skiff that we used to get from the mainland to the island.
This was a really cool chair!
I spent a lot of time relaxing on this hammock. It's a great place to read.
This is a painting of Pyne Island. You can really see the shape and size of the island.
This painting is Cameron painted by Janice. She did a fabulous job!
Truly and Tina working in the garden. This is the front yard right outside the family room.
The den.
The living room I liked this "Moby Dick" painting.

This is my attempt at a self portrait. Normally, I would have been IN the water but it was too cold and I value my little tootsies.
Some guys lobster fishing right in front of the house. Tina said by the end of June you can hardly navigate the water from the mainland because there are so many lobster traps.
These are from the day I left. As you can see it was an extremely low tide. I had to drag my two bags up this nearly 90 degree ramp...and you can't tell but it was raining too. I thought I was going to slip and break my neck trying to get my luggage up this ramp. NOT FUN! Here's a dock that usually floats. Another boat that was tied up to the dock that was sitting in the mud.
Notice how there is no water. This was an extremely low tide. You can see that the boat is sitting in the mud.
My last view of the island.
As we were driving to the airport I just had to take a picture of these lobster traps in someone's yard.
I really had an amazing time and hope to make it back out there one day...soon...but not too soon since it is almost winter.
