Out of the Mouth of Babes

Kids really do say the darnedest things...

A couple of months back my brother and his family were driving to Florida and the topic of my tattoo came up. The two older boys (15 and 14) were debating what my tattoo was...after a few minutes of debate the 14 year old says "It's Tigger"...the 15 year old says "Why would she have Tigger on her butt" (for the record, it's on my back) The 10 year old chimes in and says "Cuz he's looking for Pooh".

Just another quiet Sunday

This afternoon we decided that we would enjoy the beautiful day by taking a nap on our lanai. I went out first and got our pillows and blanket arranged and when L.A. came out he asked if I wanted our shades rolled down...to which I replied "that would be nice". So my wonderful husband got up and dropped the shade which caused about 15 frogs to rain down on me. Needless to say...I screamed and jumped up. Over the next 30 minutes or so Oreo, L.A. and I tried to wrangle up these frogs (and the 5 that didn't fall). At one point Oreo had two cornered when out of the blue they turned and jumped on him. I think if he could have he would have screamed too. After the wrangling and poop cleaning (the frogs not ours)...not to mention spraying a colony of wasps that we uncovered...we decided maybe the afternoon was better spent inside.

Today is 5 months! We had an ultrasound last week and found out it's a girl!
Sorry for the quality of the picture...a self portrait isn't as easy as it sounds.

Bill's Retirement

OK...First off...I don't like the formatting! Second I know it's been a long time. Third, Enjoy.

We went to DC over the 4th of July weekend for one of our favorite people in the world's retirement from the Air Force (Lt Col Bill Brigman). Here's a few shots of the festivities.

Dancing????

Heading home...exhausted

A long past due update

Here are a couple of pictures from the last few months here in Tampa. We've been so busy enjoying life that I've forgotten to blog about it. But I guess that's not entirely bad. I'll try to do better.

On Memorial Day we took a "beach tour" down the west coast of Florida.
Enjoying the View at Venice Beach
Gotta have the tootsies in the sand shot
Looking quite debonair

L.A. at Anna Maria Island

We were supposed to go to a NKOTB concert the last weekend in May but the bums cancelled it. Brandy came west to visit us anyway. While she was here we checked out Caladesi Island (very cool...I highly recommend it)
On the boat heading to the island
L.A. ... too cool for the sun

A little hermit crab I found in the water

You have to take a ferry over and they limit the number of people on the beach...makes for a pleasant day at the beach
After a day of fun in the sun...about to pack it up

Ft Desoto State Park

We took advantage of the President's Day holiday to escape to the beach. This time we chose to go to Ft Desoto State Park. It is still too chilly to get in the water and today was extremely windy. It was beautiful...and we did get to see some dolphins!
