Ft Desoto State Park

We took advantage of the President's Day holiday to escape to the beach. This time we chose to go to Ft Desoto State Park. It is still too chilly to get in the water and today was extremely windy. It was beautiful...and we did get to see some dolphins!

Oreo and the Flamingo

This evening Oreo was looking out the back door and all of a sudden he jumped up...his hackles raised and a low growl seeping through his teeth. I thought that for sure some one had climbed over the fence and was creeping through the back yard to pillage our home (or a cat at the very least). I opened the door so that he could protect us. He runs straight to the pool and for my floating flamingos...it's a good thing he's on the look out for us!

Give Up the Booty

Every year Tampa celebrates the pirate Gaspar (who terrorized the Tampa coast line) by having a Fest in his honor. There is a kiddie parade, an adult parade, and a Mardi Gras-like (or so they say) parade. Yesterday, we went to the adult parade with a group of folks from my office.

This is George and Linda. George is my boss' boss (and a USL grad) and Linda works in our front office. George is modelling our float...aka adult beverage conveyance.
