All I Have To Say Is...

...DAMN YOU RICKY JEAN-FRANCOIS!

LSU vs Florida

I missed you all last week during the bye. I missed my Tigers too! I'm nervous about the game tonight...like usual but it's Florida. You never can tell about any SEC team but Florida for sure. So Oreo and I decided to get in our gear well before game time (also because its getting dark so early and we wanted to make sure we could get some pictures outside).
Oreo giving me some lovin!
Oreo's telling me a little secret...
Zeusy got jealous by not having a LSU game day tradition so I found Oreo's old scarf and put it on him. (It was really getting dark at this point which is why the picture is shaky).
Zeus with his scarf again...
Oreo's got his game face on!
Of course...not to be out done. Kahlua had to get her turn with the scarf. Isn't she a cutie!?!

It's almost game time. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Follow-up New Kids Post

L.A. told me that some pictures are best stored in the memory stick in your mind. (He was trying to make me feel better about forgetting my camera...didn't help!)

And he has been singing Step By Step since the concert on Thursday night (even though he claimed to not know the song...he can sing every word).

New Kids on the Block AKA the BEST CONCERT EV-ER!

As most of you know, my middle school years were spent OBSESSED with New Kids on the Block. Cassettes, posters, pins, t-shirts, sheets, videos...I had them all (I even begged and pleaded until I got a Shar Pei because that was the kind of dog that they had). When I heard that NKOTB was releasing a new album and going on tour again I was beyond ecstatic! I bought tickets as soon as they came out and have been anxiously waiting. The concert finally came around this week and I was not disappointed. BTW...Natasha Bedingfield was the second opening act. Tracy - I wanted to let you know that your infamous one side of the head shaved hairdo is making a comeback. Natasha had her hair cut like that!

I realized (too late) that I forgot my !@#$%^& camera! So all of my pictures are taken with my phone.
L.A. (the most amazing husband ever) dutifully came with me. As you can tell from this picture he was really excited o go. He actually even admitted afterwards that it was the best concert that he's ever seen (besides the music being too loud and all the screaming - of which I was NOT a part of...yeah right).

I even found a t-shirt from the first concert that I went to way back in 1990. Up until last night the original concert was the best that I attended. I can remember Aimee, Shelley, Haley and I crammed on two seats about seven rows back screaming like some wild women (and Aimee telling me not to lock my knees because I will pass out and she wasn't carrying me through that crowd).
I think some of the people actually believed that it was still 1990. There were lots of women with torn t-shirts.
Lots of side pony tails!
I'm not even sure what this is...
There was a plethera of merchandise to be had but I just couldn't shell out $45 for a t-shirt.
This woman was really confused. She was about 45 dressed like a disco ball and had pigtails...YIKES!

This is a shot of the main stage. This pictures actually look farther away than we really were.
L.A. forgot his ear plugs so he sat with his headphones in for the entire concert...but he was a good sport and didn't complain...much.
Midway through the concert the guys came out to Stage B...which was right in front of us.
Dancing on the piano

Post-concert...worn out...but still rockin'.
I'm trying to find tickets to a closer concert so that I can take some good pics. (And I'd love to see the show again!)

Rainy Day Afternoon

Our Sweet Olive tree. You can see all of the blooms. It smells wonderful...smells like home.
The sun glinting through the trees
I love a nice, hard rain. It is so cleansing...refreshing...renewing.

Our Mid-City Retreat

Here are some shots of our deck/swing AKA our Mid-City Retreat
Here's a view of our deck from our bathroom window upstairs
Enjoying the weather relaxing on the deck...

I'm writing a book...

and it's going to be called "Natalie Martin and the Mystery of the Broken Cake Topper"

A few weeks ago I notice a piece of our cake topper on the floor. I thought that someone (L.A.) had knocked it off the mantel but didn't notice that it was broken.

Fast forward to tonight...I'm on my way home from work and get a call from L.A. to ask if I had knocked the cake topper off of the mantel. I said "No, but maybe the cats did". He said that he noticed that it was broken but all of the broken pieces were still on the mantel and there was still a piece that was standing. So here's some pictures of what's left of the topper and the pieces scattered.

The pieces were actually scattered down the mantel a little more.
This is all that was left standing... :-(

Any ideas as to what happened? Cats? Heat from the sun causing it to explode? A clumsy ghost? A husband who broke our wedding cake topper but doesn't want to come clean? Let me know what you think!
