Natalie's 30th Birthday

L.A. surprised me with a trip down to Williamsburg for my birthday this year.

Below are pictures from the B&B where we stayed (Liberty Rose). The common sitting area downstairs.

We had a terrific time! And to cap off the trip L.A. got me a massage at a swanky spa. I have the best husband in the world!

Virginia Beach

We recently took a trip to Virginia Beach with the hopes of whale watching. We didn't catch a glimpse of any whales but we did have a good time. We stayed at Fort Story. Here is the little cabin that we rented.

We're on the boat waiting to go out. Notice we are still dry. This did not last long however. We didn't even make it out of the channel without getting soaked. I don't have any post-boat ride pictures...I was trying to prevent hypothermia. We also toured the Old Cape Henry Lighthouse.Interior of the lighthouse.
The view from the top. You can just make out the new Cape Henry Lighthouse over my head.
That is the beach at Fort Story. As you can tell it was really windy that day.
We visited the Virginia Aquarium while we were there. One of my favorite things was the touch pool full of stingrays.

The jellyfish were really pretty!
The octopus was really cool too!

As you can tell by his pouting...Oreo didn't want to go home. Don't worry JoJo...we'll go back again. There are whales to see.
